Canton Strategic Holdings to Launch Tokenized Shares on Canton Network
Canton Strategic Holdings has announced a partnership with TSV LLC to launch tokenized versions of its common shares on the Canton Network, with trading anticipated to begin on November 2. This initiative follows TSV's notification to the SEC under the Innovation Exemption framework established on September 17. With this move, Canton Strategic Holdings aims to become the first publicly traded U.S. company to offer tokenized shares in compliance with the new regulations.
Mark Wendland, Chairman and CEO of Canton Strategic Holdings, emphasized that tokenization will facilitate more efficient access to equity markets for investors while providing greater transparency for issuers. He noted that the SEC's Innovation Exemption has created a framework that allows for the onshore introduction of tokenized U.S. equities.

TSV plans to list these shares through its automated market maker using the Tradecraft protocol, which will enable 24/7 trading and atomic settlement on the Canton Network. TSV CEO Ali Abrar expressed that the company aims for its first listing to set a standard for the trading venue.
